    摘要: 電子圖書館已是未來時勢所趨。本文主要在探討電子圖書館時代圖書館員所應扮演的角色及所必須面臨的問題,分為四大部分,包括: 1. 電子圖書館時代,敘述科技進展與環境變遷、對圖書館員的衝擊;2.圖書館員角色及功能的轉變,描述圖書館員之功能轉變、角色扮演、使命及職責所在;3.圖書館員的自省,包括服務哲學觀之改變、圖書館員應具能力、圖書館員基礎教育與繼續教育;4.結論與建議。
    The electronic library will be the trend of the future. This article discusses the role librarians have to play and the problems librarians have to face. It is divided into four sections, including: 1.the age of electronic library describing the technical innovations, the impact to the librarians; 2.the change of the functions and the roles of librarians describing the change of the functions of librarians, the roles librarians play, the mission and the duty of librarians; 3.self-examination of librarians including the change of service philosophy, the skill of the librarians, the basic education and the further education of librarians; 4.conclusion and recommendation.
