Abstract:	線上公用目錄對於圖書館而言是十分重要的查詢工具，然而在網際網路與網路資源的發展與衝擊之下，線上公用目錄也必須要有所改進，方不致遭到淘汰的命運。為探討線上公用目錄的發展趨勢，本文共分為三個部分加以說明：一、線上公用目錄功能的增進；二、線上公用目錄角色的轉變；三、線上公用目錄的發展方向。 OPAC is a very useful search tool for any library; but given the impact of Internet development and the growth of network resources, improvements must be made lest it suffer the fate of obsolescence. This article comprises three sections to pinpoint and elucidate OPAC developmental trends: 1) functional improvements; 2) its changing role; and 3) developmental directions.
