    Abstract: 學術期刊促進知識發展與學術傳播，向來深受學者喜愛。西元1990 年代歐美電子期刊發展，促使期刊重要性提升。在電子期刊興起後，出現紙本與電子期刊並行出版的局面，使得電子期刊系統的研究更有意義。歐美國家從西元1996 年以降，陸續發展各種主題的電子期刊系統，臺灣期刊的資訊化與數位化始自西元1970 年代，其後不斷探討。本文旨在研究臺灣中文電子期刊系統，首先論述電子期刊系統意涵與臺灣中文電子期刊發展；其次，探討臺灣地區建置的中文電子期刊全文資料庫與服務系統；並用個案研究分析評論中文期刊電子服務系統與中文期刊篇目索引影像系統，以歸納中文電子期刊系統功能與問題，最後總結並提出建議。
    Scholarly journals are popular among scholars for their ability to promote the development of knowledge and scholarly communication. Electronic journals have begun being developed since the 1990s. The publishing of print and electronic journals in tandem makes the study of electronic journal publishing important. In European countries and the United States, various full-text journal databases on specialized subjects have been developed since 1996. The automation and digitization of journals databases have been discussed in Taiwan since 1997. With electronic journals’ increasing popularity among readers, related studies and the development of such systems is of particular importance. This paper aims to study Chinese electronic journals systems in Taiwan. Firstly, it studies the history, current situation and the elements of journal systems in Taiwan. Secondly, it describes the construction of Chinese-language electronic journal databases and service systems in Taiwan. Thirdly, the study analyses and discusses two Chinese electronic journal systems including CEPS and the Chinese Journal Index with full-text image systems of National Central Library, which were developed by Taiwan. At last, the article summarizes the requirements of Chinese electronic journal systems and makes conclusions as well as recommendations.
