| Abstract: | 國家圖書館為徵集、整理及典藏全國圖書資訊，保存文化、弘揚學術，研究、推動及輔導全國各類型圖書館發展之圖書館。本文從標竿學習的角度，介紹歐美與亞洲等八個國家的國家圖書館，內容包括其簡史、任務、願景、目標、中長程規劃等項目，期望提供我國國家圖書館與各級圖書館經營之參考。
The mission of the national library is to acquire, organize, and preserve national publications for government, research and general public use. It assists research, sponsors educational activities, promotes librarianship, carries out international exchange activities, and strengthens cooperation between domestic and foreign libraries. This article, by implementing benchmarking method, introduces national libraries of the U.S.A, United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, and Australia; in term of the history, mission, vision, objectives, goals, and mid-long term planning; to serve as the reference for the National Central Library, and all other libraries in Taiwan. |
