The main purpose of this paper is to examine the outcomes of the educational reforms in Taiwan for the last two decades. Related studies and statistical data were analyzed to investigate the causes of the unexpected upshots of the reforms. Additionally, this paper highlights several conceivable controversial issues emerged from the implementation of the new policies of the educational reforms since 1994. It is suggested that strategic and technical changes should be made to strengthen the applicability of the new educational policies in the coming years.
