Abstract:	本稿の目的は、内容節を中心に文の意味階層構造が名詞修飾節の現れ方にどのように関係するかを明らかにすることである。本稿では、文の意味階層構造の概要を述べたうえで、（i）基本型内容節とトノ内容節は、それぞれ命題の階層の内容節とモダリティの階層の内容節として機能するという点で意味階層に関して対立的（相補的）な関係にあるということ、及び、（ii）トイウ内容節は引用(メタ)用法とカテゴリー用法を持ち、すべての意味階層に対応するということを指摘する。
