This study primarily conducted a literature analysis and focus group discussions to identify problems, define problems, identify solutions, take action, and evaluate outcomes. These steps culminate in the design of a competency-based blended learning program for school principal preparation. The innovative program is divided into five modules and is systematized using a blended learning model. The main features of the program are (1) collaboration between instructors and mentor principals to enrich and deepen the learning content; (2) a unified curriculum objective aligned with the program’s philosophy, with each module featuring specific learning objectives; (3) integration of a competency-based framework to align aspiring principals’training with concrete course objectives; (4) incorporation of large-scale tasks and simulations tailored to each module to enhance practical application; and (5) the use of an assessment center approach in the design of leadership performance evaluations.
