Abstract:	教育是社會控制的一種機制，國家透過教科書對國民進行社會化，特別是歷史教育這一環，能夠主導百姓的國家認同以及歷史認識，其影響十分深遠。其中，歷史教科書更是學校教育的重要載體，文字內涵、觀點陳述，都能影響國民的歷史記憶和民族認同，進而建構了社會呈現、歷史情感，其影像層面、改變力量，更是不能小覷。台灣在教育課綱上迭有改變，其中的歷史課綱，無論時數分配、內容比重、陳述內涵，甚至是部分名詞所隱涵的歷史觀念或者國家定位，都可能影響新一代國民對於史實的認識，執政者企圖透過教育手段進行社會控制的別有居心，已然不言可明。究竟各國在歷史教育方面有何做法？本書有非常寬廣的探究。
