    Title: 臺灣地區國中生去向預測之初探

    Abstract: 為使國中輔導部門能在國中生未畢業之前就能區別出升學者、就業者，與未升學亦未就業者，從而予以適當輔導，本研究嘗試採取區別分析，以學業成績及社經背景為區別變項。取樣是依分層立意取樣法，從院、省轄市、北、中、南部鄉鎮地區及偏遠地區取出二十一所學校，每所學校初步原則定為六十八、六十九、七十學年度畢業者，每屆取升學者十名，就業者二十五名，未升學亦未就業者五名。寄發問卷，結果回收一四二七份樣本，其中包括升學者四三六份，就業者七八一份，未升學亦未就業者二一０份。區別分析的結果，三組在學業與社經背景有顯著差異。以升學者最優，未升學亦未就業者次之，就業者最低。從領域圖可看出，大致上，社經背景高的，且學業成績好的，會升學；而社經背景低的，但學業成績好的，也會升學。反之，社經背景低的，學業成績也差的，會就業；即使社經背景高，但學業成績差的，也會就業。而未升學亦未就業者介乎升學者與就業者之間，由於未升學亦未就業組的領域太狹窄，預測準確率較低。此外亦求出分類方程係數，可用以對國中生的分類。
